Club InfoThe Munich Irish Rovers Football Club e.V. is an International English Speaking Soccer Club competing in the German league pyramid system and is the only English speaking football club in Munich. We have over 70 active members drawn from the Irish community and from around a dozen other nationalities from in and around Munich. We are always looking for new members and new faces are always welcome either at training or the kickabouts. TeamsThe Rovers currently run three men's teams of a varying standard and one women's team. The three men's squads are not fixed and players can move between teams. Men's First Team: The first team play in the B-Klasse of the German national pyramid (with the Bundesliga at the top). This is of intermediate to high amateur standard. Actual and aspiring First Team squad members are expected to train twice a week. Men's Second Team: The second team play in the B-Klasse of the German national pyramid. This is of intermediate amateur standard. The standard is higher than Freizeit Liga. Second team squad members are expected to train at least once a week. Men's Over 32s (Alte Herren): The Over 32s play in the Kreisklasse of Senioren A league. This is also of intermediate amateur standard. Alte Herren squad members can attend training on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Women's Team: The Rover's women's team joined the 11-a-side league this year and train every Wednesday at Graubuendenerstrasse 7-8:30pm. The newest introduction to the Rover's family, the emphasis is on having fun, getting fit and trying to build a strong squad for the future. Home league games are played at Graubuendenerstrasse. Club Constitution and RulesThe club, though its roots go as far back as March '86, was officially founded on May 7th '95. The Munich Irish Rovers FC is registered with the Bavarian Football Association and the BLSV (Bavarian State Sports Association). On June 8th 2001 the members voted to have the club registered - the club now officially has "e.V." added to its name. The Club Constitution and Club Rules (Standing Orders, Official Duties and General Rules) can be accessed by following the resecptive link.
